Havering All Age Autism Service

We are taking the service around the borough, utilising a number of community facilities, in a bid to ensure that everyone who needs it can access our services and support.

The service sees Sycamore Trust UK staff supporting families and individuals in the north and south of the borough, as well as continuing to run some services in Romford.

Sycamore Trust UK services are located at the Royals Youth Centre in Rainham and the My Place Community Centre in Harold Hill.

This includes peer groups for autistic adults and Autism Support Groups for parents and carers which are now held at Royals and My Place, alternating on Wednesdays between the two venues.

Support for autistic adults

Our Havering All Age Autism Service offers a variety of support to autistic adults living in the borough.

The service is funded by London Borough of Havering.

The services we offer adults include advice on employment support, benefits and other issues and challenges in their day-to-day lives.

Steering Group

Our group advocates on behalf of autistic adults living in Havering.

The Steering Group worked closely with the council and other partners to develop the Havering Autism Strategy and the recent Havering Autism Survey.

They meet and work collaboratively with agencies and services operating in Havering to promote the needs of the autistic community.

The Steering Group meets once a month on a Friday afternoon.

Peer Groups

We have three social groups for adults with an autism diagnosis and those who have been referred for assessment living in Havering.

These groups meet monthly on a weekday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm.

We also encourage and support the members to enjoy activities in the local community.
